My name is Maryam Eslami. I’m coming from a Chemical engineering background with previous working experience within Gas & Oil industry at National Petrochemical Company of ,my home country, Iran. After moving to UK on 2015 took Math/English Language GSCE and a few other courses along with a part time voluntarily job to contribute to the community as well as improving a set of my skills. Along the way, got the chance to be introduced to Grid for Good Team from National Grid and its program which led me to have an informal meeting with the Head of the Engineering and Asset Management at the time, who offered me a temporarily roll.

Since August 2019 I’ve been working with National Grid, first as a 6 month contractor followed by a permanent roll offer as a Network Modeller in the Network Strategy team within Gas Transmission (GT), Engineering and Asset Management (EAM), Delivering robust analysis to support and maintain long term strategy of the gas transmission network or assets via the use of offline network simulation. My roll includes working with different modelling Software to support wider GT Network Engineering analysis requests to assist in commercial and safe physical design and operation of National Transmission System (NTS).
