Case Study: Gen Zero

The Department for Education (DfE), in partnership with Innovate UK, the Construction Innovation Hub and the Active Building Centre, has launched a leading research and development project to create new sustainable design solutions for secondary school buildings. Known as GenZero, the project will help set the standard for the next generation of net zero carbon schools in England by delivering digital models for two prototype schools that will be sustainable, enable offsite construction, and help meet the UK’s ambitious 2050 net zero carbon targets.
